BOUTIQUE
Description
From the 1950s onwards, there was a veritable craze amongst psychiatrists worldwide for what was then known as ‘psychopathological art’. A great deal of research was carried out at that time into the artistic output of people with mental illness. Drawing on the exhibition held at Sainte-Anne Hospital in 1950, this book—which features reproductions of numerous French and international works—places the history of the Sainte-Anne Collection and that of psychiatry between the 1950s and 1970s into context.
